Former San Angelo Chamber President Lands at Local Real Estate Brokerage

SAN ANGELO, TX — Bruce Partain, who earlier this month resigned as the president of the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce, has landed a new position in the city.

He will join the team at NextHome Legends Realty, 303 W. Harris St., where Rick Hanby is the broker and owner.

Partain will assume the title of vice president of operations for the boutique broker. “Bruce joins a growing team of real estate professionals at NextHome Legends Realty,” Hanby said. “We are actively training and recruiting new agents, and Bruce will be a key player in that effort.”

Partain arrived in San Angelo from Longmont, Colorado in March 2018. He was previously the president and CEO of the Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce from 2015 until 2017. He served in the same capacity for the Nacogdoches Chamber of Commerce from 2001 until 2015. When he arrived in San Angelo, he accepted a three-year contract with the chamber here.

On Nov. 1, Partain abruptly resigned from the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce. At that time, Partain thanked the chamber for the opportunity to serve but said he plans to pursue other opportunities in the San Angelo area.

“Bruce has excellent connections in the community and will represent NextHome Legends Realty in professional, community and civic settings,” Hanby said.

He said NextHome’s approach is to make use of advanced technology while offering collaboration, hospitality and a family atmosphere for both clients and agents.

Partain said he sees a bridge between his recent work and his new position.

“I will continue to collaborate with Goodfellow Air Force Base, civic leaders and associations to build San Angelo and help it prosper,” Partain said in a press release. "Housing is one of the most important sectors of our community, and I am excited to have a direct role in this important industry."
