WATCH: San Angelo Police Officers Deliver Thanksgiving Meals for Needy Families

SAN ANGELO, TX – Several needy families in San Angelo will have a happier Thanksgiving this year as San Angelo Police officers Saturday loaded up all the fixings for a family sized Thanksgiving mean and delivered those goodies to the families.

Watch video from H-E-B Saturday:

SAPD Officer Raymond Francis the project is a team effort between the San Angelo Independent School District and the San Angelo Coalition Of Police. "What happens is that every year we have families that are selected on the junior high and high school level.  The at-risk coordinators and counselors select the families from the school district.  Once the families are selected we come up here to H-E-B and by the groceries for the families."

The meals for eight needy families this year were wrapped in boxes with purple ribbons and SAPD officers Saturday delivered the meals to their homes.
