BALLINGER, TX – The City of Ballinger had a historic first during this election cycle by electing its first female mayor. Dawni Seymore won what turned out to be a very close election, narrowly beating the incumbent Sam Mallory by 3 votes.
According to a local news source, Seymore has big plans for her term and will focus on two main issues; working on the budget and “bringing the community back together.” Seymore is very excited and said the following about her historic win: "I just have in my mind Esther 4: 'maybe you were born for such a time as this’."
