Angelo State University Offering Uvalde Students Opportunity for Affordable Schooling

SAN ANGELO, TX -- Angelo State University and Uvalde CISD have teamed up in hopes to give more kids the opportunity of affordable schooling.

According to the Uvald CISD, on November 1, the Uvalde CISD has joined with ASU and Southwerst Texas Junior College to further the schools STEM program.

The agreement would give students an opportunity to receive either a Civil or Mechanical Engineering Four year degree from ASU by following the 1+1+2 plan.

This means that one full year of college would be taken while at UHS, followed by one year at SWTJC and then finishing off with two years at ASU, all for a cost of $10,000 to the student.

"This is the only agreement of its kind in Texas." said Uvalde CISD. "We look forward to a wonderful partnership!"
