SAN ANGELO, TX – Contestants in the 2019 Cinch Roping Fiesta are competing in the preliminary qualifying round in the Spur Arena Friday.

As we reported earlier, the 2019 Cinch Roping Fiesta Match Ropers: ten-time NFR qualifier and 2005 World Champion All-Around Cowboy Ryan Jarrett will be taking on 2015 and 2018 reigning World Champion tie-down roper Caleb Smidt in the Zesch and Pickett Insurance sponsored event.

The 2019 Cinch Roping Fiesta will be headlined by the Match Calf Roping on Saturday, October 26 at the Outdoor Fiesta Arena. This year’s event will be a rematch from the 2017 event between Oklahoma cowboy Ryan Jarrett and Texas native Caleb Smidt. Jarrett holds the 2005 World Champion All Around Cowboy buckle, while Smidt’s gold buckles come as the current reigning World Champion Tie-Down Roper, repeating from his 2015 title.
