SAN ANGELO, TX -- An officer with the San Angelo Police Departments hunch led to the recovery of a Polaris Ranger and Trailer that was stolen from a Northside Hotel.
According to the San Angelo Police Department, On Monday, October 21, 2019, San Angelo Police were dispatched to the Baymont Inn and Suites located at 1418 North Bryant Boulevard for the report of a theft. Here is the original story: Police Surround Residence in North San Angelo Monday
Upon arrival, SAPD Officers learned that hotel guests had discovered their Polaris Ranger and utility trailer missing from the hotel’s parking lot.
A Patrolman who is familiar with a nearby residence in the 200 block of West 14th Street known for criminal activity followed his instincts and subsequently located the stolen items stashed in the backyard.
Officers established a perimeter around the residence until the Department’s Criminal Investigations Division could obtain a Search Warrant for the property. The Polaris and Trailer, valued at nearly $22K, were recovered and returned to their owners. Another suspected stolen trailer located at the property was seized for further investigation.
Investigators are searching for 42-year-old Javier Delarosa in connection to the investigation. Delarosa may be driving a white 2002 Ford F150.
