SAN ANGELO, TX – Former Florida Congressman and Fox News contributor Lt. Col. (Ret.) Allen B. West is running for Chairman of the Republican Party of Texas and visited the San Angelo LIVE! studios Saturday.
West was in San Angelo for a Concho Valley Republican Women fundraising dinner in the C.J. Davidson center at Angelo State University.
West is challenging RPOT Chairman James Dickey at the 2020 RPOT Convention in Houston.

West has written a new book entitled "Hold Texas, Hold the Nation: Victory or Death."
West is a political commentator, retired U.S. Army lieutenant colonel, author, and former member of the U.S. House of Representatives. A member of the Republican Party, West represented Florida's 22nd congressional district in the House from 2011 to 2013.
West moved to Texas and lives in the Dallas area.
He is a regular contributor on Fox News.
