SAN ANGELO, TX – San Angelo's State Representative Drew Darby has called for the removal of Texas House Speaker Dennis Bonnen and State Representative Dustin Burrows from House leadership positions after the release of a recorded conversation with Michael Quinn Sullivan.
Here is the full audio recording:
Darby released the following statement Thursday morning.
"During my service in the Texas House, I have sought to make prayerful, measured decisions based on facts. After hearing the audio, it is clear that Speaker Dennis Bonnen and Representative Dustin Burrows betrayed those who had confidence in them to lead, and they abandoned their solemn, sworn charge to faithfully execute the responsibilities of elected office. I denounce Speaker Bonnen and Representative Burrows' unethical behavior and their disparaging, offensive remarks towards my House colleagues. I condemn their blatantly hostile attitude and policies against our local government partners.
This has gone on for too long. It is time for the House to begin to heal and rebuild trust, and that can only be accomplished when Speaker Bonnen and Representative Burrows are no longer in leadership positions."

Sounds almost like with holding funds for say...some info. What has happened to the "conservative party" in this country? Filled with chicanery and villainy.
