Duo Arrested During Storage Unit Burglary with a Backpack Full of Meth and Molly

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- Two men who were caught in the act of robbing storage units with a backpack full of drugs Sunday night. 

According to court documents, on August 11 at around 7:00 p.m., the San Angelo Police Department were dispatched to the Guardian Storage Units on Southland Blvd. for the report of suspicious activity. 

When the officer arrived to the scene he saw two men who looked as if "they may have or were about to commit a burglary."

The officer detained both of the men and learned that there were stolen items in a 2006 F150 that the two drove to the units. 

The officer searched the vehicle and found the stolen items as well as a black backpack. Inside of the backpack was a tupperware container that had 11 grams of methamphetamine, one blue rubber band, one red cut straw, two spoons with meth residue on them, multiple plastic jewelry bags, a digital scale, personal items and documents for Troy Williams, and four unidentified pills. 

David Pool, 32 were arrested that day and charged with burglary of a building. He was released the following day in lieu of a $7,500 bond. 

The following day the Street's Crime Division tested the unidentified pills and determined that they were MDMA or Molly. 

After determining that, Williams was charged with burglary of a building, manufacture and delivery of a penalty group one controlled substance and possession of a penalty group two controlled substance.

He is currently in the Tom Green County Jail and his bond has not been set at this time.
