SAN ANGELO, TX -- The Concho Valley PAWS is seeking donations for surgery for a pony that was seized for animal cruelty.
The following is a message from CVPAWS:
This is Ponyboy. He was seized by animal control as part of a animal cruelty investigation. After the judge ruled that Ponyboy was not to be returned to his previous owners, PAWS worked with animal control and offered rescue as an option. Ponyboy has suffered severe neglect and has required extensive farrier work. One of our wonderful volunteers raised funds for farrier services for Ponyboy and other horses that were seized. Yesterday, we learned that Ponyboy will have to undergo surgery if he is to ever have a chance at walking normally again. We want to save him and ensure he will have a quality of life. Ponyboy is currently in a foster home and doing well, but we need help to get him the care he needs. If you can donate towards Ponyboy's care, please click the link below. PAWS is generally advocating for companion cats and dogs - but we know that the companionship of our equine friends is equally important and bond we form with them is incredible. Please help financially if you are able, but also keep Ponyboy in your thoughts and prayers as he has a long road to recovery ahead.
As of now they have raised $745 and if you would like to donate clink the link here.
UPDATE:
Donations have doubled overnight for Ponyboy,
As of 2:33 p.m. on August 9, Ponyboy has raised $1,570.
