Aunt's Boyfriend Arrested After 18-Month-Old's Body Found in Landfill

DALLAS, TX -- The boyfriend of 18-month-old Cedrick Jackson's aunt was arrested yesterday after Cedrick's body was discovered in a landfill. 

On July 10 at around 12:30 a.m. 18-month-old Cedrick Jackson was reported missing. After an Amber Alert was issued the Dallas Police Department found the baby's body in a landfill. 

The following day 27-year-old Sedick Jonhson, the boyfriend of Cedrick Jackson's aunt, was arrested for injury to a child causing serious bodily injury. 

According to CBS DFW, Johnson stated that the baby had made a mess with ketchup packets so he tightly swaddled him so he could not move. 

A little while later Johnson unwrapped the baby and Cedrick began throwing up until becoming unresponsive. This is when Johnson says he attempted CPR but it did not work. He then drove to a dumpster where he disposed of the body.
