Snakes Cause City-Wide Power Outage in Coleman

COLEMAN, TX -- The city of Coleman had a short power outage Wednesday due to something strange.

On June 12, the city of Coleman's electricity shut off at around 10:30 p.m.

AEP was called in to determine what caused the outage. According to KTXS, there was a technical difficulty with the AEP substation that transmits electricity into the town.

When AEP went to look at the substation, they found multiple snakes inside causing a short circuit.

The snakes were removed and the power was restored at around 11:10 p.m.
