SAN ANGELO, TX -- A flash flood warning continues Monday morning until 10:15 a.m. for southeastern Tom Green county and the eastern counties in the Concho Valley.
According to the National Weather Service office in San Angelo, at 6:38 a.m. doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing light rainfall across the warned area.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1/4 to 1/2 inch are likely through 10 a.m.
Up to four inches of rain have already fallen from Vancourt to Eden...Millersview...Gouldbusk and Trickam. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.
Some locations that will experience flooding include... Paint Rock, Eden, Melvin, Gouldbusk, Wall, Lohn, Rockwood, Voss, Waldrip, Vancourt, Leaday, Eola, Pear Valley, Doole, Mereta, Ivie Reservoir Near Concho Park Marina, Stacy, Salt Gap, Trickham and Placid.
This is a developing weather situation.
There is a 40 percent chance of additional rainfall across the area today and Thunderstorms remain a possibility. The primary hazard is flash flooding; however, a few thunderstorms may produce large hail and damaging winds this afternoon and evening, especially across locations along and west of a line from Haskell, to Abilene, to San Angelo, to Sonora.
Thunderstorms are possible across West Central Texas Tuesday through the middle of the week. Some thunderstorms may be strong to severe, especially Tuesday through Wednesday. Heavy rainfall will be the main threat, which may cause flash flooding.
