"El Chapo's" Right Hand Man Extradited to Texas

EL PASO, TX – The man who allegedly ran a whole wing of El Chapo's drug cartel has been extradited to Texas.

On May 28, U.S officials announced that Jose Antonio Torres Marrufo has been extradited to Texas. Marrufo or Jaguar is a lieutenant of the Sinaloa cartel, which at one time was one of the biggest drug cartels ever.

In February of 2012 the leader of the Sinaloa cartel Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman and Marrufo were arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit murder, kidnapping, money laundering, and drug distribution.

El Chapo was found guilty in February in New York City and is waiting to be sentenced.

According to CBS 7, Marrufo faces an initial court appearance this afternoon.
