SAN ANGELO, TX -- The light rain and mist that has fallen Saturday morning is ending and the sun will come out but there is a slight chance of rain all weekend.
According to the National Weather Service Office in San Angelo, isolated to scattered light showers will affect the Concho Valley, areas near Sonora and Junction, and parts of the southern Big Country through the mid to late morning hours.
As temperatures warm, expect these light showers to dissipate by early afternoon. Light rainfall amounts of a few hundredths can be expected.
Thunderstorms are possible late this afternoon and evening across northern and western areas of the Big Country and Concho Valley.
A few storms may be severe along and west of a Throckmorton to Hamlin to Roby line.
The main hazards will be large hail, damaging winds and cloud to ground lightning.
Thunderstorm chances will continue through the weekend and into next week across West Central Texas. However, it appears that the risk of widespread severe weather is low.
