Darby Supports Plan for School Finance Reform and Property Tax Relief

SAN ANGELO, TX -- State Representative Drew Darby (R) San Angelo announced Friday his support for Texas Governor Greg Abbott's plan to reform school finance and property tax relief.

According to information released Friday, Darby said, "Yesterday, the Texas House and Senate stood together in support of the most monumental and historic investment in public education in decades. House Bill 3, the Texas Plan for school finance reform, dedicates $4.5 billion to student-centered education reforms, over $5 billion for property tax relief, $2 billion for dynamic raises for hardworking educators, and significantly reduces recapture. Texans have waited decades for true reform and I am proud to support House Bill 3."

The regular legislative session ends Monday.
