NEW BRAUNFELS, TX -- A dam on Lake Dunlap in central Texas experienced a partial failure Tuesday and the Guadalupe Blanco River Authority videoed the spectacular event.
Here is the video:
Lake Dunlap is a reservoir on the Guadalupe River near New Braunfels in Guadalupe County.
The reservoir was formed in 1931 by the construction of a dam to provide hydroelectric power to the area.
No one was reported injured and downstream residents were warned of the pending flooding.
GBRA authorities are working on plans to repair the dam.
This is a developing story.
