April's "Full Pink Moon" Visible Friday

SAN ANGELO, TX – April's full moon will be visible on Friday.

The "Pink Moon" will be 100 percent visible at around 8 p.m. on Friday and will not set until 7 a.m. the following morning.

According to the National Weather Service there are supposed to be clear skies throughout the night for optimal viewing.

The moon is occasionally pink, but the main reason for the name is due to the pink flowers that have arrived since the start of spring.
