San Angelo Chamber Accepting Applications for "Leadership San Angelo"

The Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications for the 32nd class of Leadership San Angelo to begin in October.  Those interested in participating in the upcoming nine-month Leadership course may receive more information by calling Sandra Pomroy at the Chamber of Commerce at 655-4136, email at [email protected] or by visiting the Chamber's website at www.sanangelo.org.

Communities are defined by the quality of their leadership, and San Angelo is certainly no exception. That's why Leadership San Angelo was developed 32 years ago and why it continues to be a strong program of the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce today. The Leadership course consists of ten full day sessions spread across nine months.  A full schedule is available on the Chamber website.

Designed to seek out and help develop future leadership for our community, the program provides intensive training in areas strategic to the well-being of San Angelo. The goal is to create a pool of knowledgeable, motivated individuals who are well prepared to step into leadership positions.

The program's success can be seen throughout the community. Leadership graduates fill positions on the City Council and the SAISD Board of Trustees; they serve as members of Boards of Directors in organizations across San Angelo; they are elected officials for the City and the County, and members of law enforcement and the judicial system.
