ABILENE, TX – A man who is a registered sex offender was arrested on Thursday after police found him in possession of lewd photos of a child.
Ryder Altman, 27, was originally arrested and convicted of possession of child pornography in 2017. He was required to register as a sex offender as well as be on probation.
During the original investigation Altman's phone was recovered and, according to KRBC, a large portion of the images are of infants, toddlers, and children that appear to be under the age of seven.
Police say that the new images are connected with the previous charges and that will make this a first-degree felony.
Altman is currently in the Taylor County Jail on a $100,000 bond and is charged with possession of child pornography.
