One Dead After Rollover Ejection

PUTNAM, TX – One man died after a rollover crash Monday afternoon.

Around 2 p.m. DPS troopers responded to a crash that involved a 2007 GMC pick-up. on I-20, 1.6 miles east of Putnam. Putnam is between Cisco and Baird on I-20.

The vehicle was attempting to pass another vehicle when the driver lost control causing the vehicle to strike the guardrail. This pickup then rolled over causing the driver to be ejected.

Bryce Mikal McClerkin, 24, of Arlington was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was taken to Abilene Professional Services.

DPS said McClerkin was not wearing a seat belt.
