Angelo State University’s College of Business will host its inaugural Norris-ASU International Research Symposium on Wednesday, Oct. 23, in the Houston Harte University Center, 1910 Rosemont Drive.
The symposium will run from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. in the University Center’s C.J. Davidson Conference Center and is open free to the public. Designed to highlight academic research with an international focus, the event will feature keynote speakers Dr. Detelin Elenkov, ASU’s Norris Family Chair in International Business, and Dr. Carlo Bagnoli, professor of business and economics at Ca’ Foscari University in Venice, Italy.
For the past several years, ASU has achieved significant recognition in the area of international research,” Elenkov said. “The symposium is a way to really highlight the achievements of various departments, colleges and individuals of ASU.”
The ASU symposium is funded by the Norris Family Endowment, which also established the Norris Family Chair in International Business in 2007 through a $1 million donation from the Lloyd Norris Family of San Angelo. An endowed chair is the most prestigious academic appointment available for university faculty.
