Man Attempted To Run Over Police in a Robbery

 

ODESSA, TX-- Dangelo Armendariz was charged with aggravated assault against a public servant after trying to run him down with his car, according to Newswest 9.

Odessa Police arrived to Chevron Gas Station at around 4:30 a.m. due to a burglary alarm.

When police arrived on scene they noticed a SUV parked near the building. As the officers approached the vehicle, Armendariz attempted to run them over.

Officers then proceeded to fire their weapons at the vehicle.

Armendariz managed to get out of the parking lot, but was later caught fleeing down I-20.

Armendariz was charged with aggravated assault against a public servant and possession of marijuana.
