Chrysler 200 Flips After Collision with Palm Tree

A black 2013 Chrysler 200 lies upside down near the intersection of Junius and Westland after an accident involving the car and a palm tree.

San Angelo Police were dispatched to the location at 5:16 p.m. for a report of the crash.

According to police on scene, the driver said he just looked down for a minute and drifted to the north edge of the roadway, where he hit the curb and a palm tree in front of a residence.

The car flipped as a result of the collision and landed upside down in the street. No injuries were reported in the crash, however the male driver was cited for unsafe speed and for not having a valid driver's license.

I wonder if that when he looked down for just a moment, it was't a text message he was 'glancing' at? Just a question, it is by no means an implication. And if it was a text message which caused his eyes to lose contact with the road in front of him, maybe the text message said "hurry home and don't put a scratch on our new car"...haha. Glad no one was seriously injured.
