Free Admission to All State Parks in Honor of Veterans

SAN ANGELO, TX-- In honor of both veterans and current military members, the Texas State Parks will be waiving the daily entrance fees on November 11 according to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

"The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and Texas State Parks are very proud of the men and women that serve our country in the military,” said Rodney Franklin, Interim Director of Texas State Parks. “Welcoming visitors to state parks for free on Sunday, is our way of saying thanks to those who have served in the military and their families. We invite all Texans to connect with the outdoors and make state parks a part of their Veterans Day weekend.”

The park includes 50 miles of hiking trails, a 2 mile dinosaur trail, and herds of bison and longhorn for everyone to enjoy.
