Suspect Arrested for Sexual Assault of Child

ABILENE, TX – The Abilene Police Department’s Cyber Crimes Unit arrested 26-year-old Michael Darren Foster on Wednesday, October 24, 2018. Detectives executed a Search and an Arrest Warrant in the 700 block of Carver St. in relation to an investigation of an Online Solicitation of a Minor and a Sexual Assault of a Child.

Detectives collected evidence during the investigation from digital devices. Foster was also found to be in possession of child pornography. A second search warrant was executed in the 3000 block of Westlake Rd. for forensic evidence.

Michael Foster is charged with Second Degree Felony Sexual Assault of a Child, Third Degree Felony Online Solicitation of a Minor and Third Degree Felony Possession of Child Pornography. He is currently in the Taylor County Jail.
