Man Tries to Flee Officer During Arrest

SAN ANGELO, TX -- The following people and their charges are from the SAPD Arrest Blotter Monday and Tuesday October 22 and 23.

Devin Lee Avant, 39, was arrested for evading arrest detention with vehicle or watercraft after he failed to stop for a traffic stop near Sherwood Way and N. Pierce.

Avant ditched the vehicle and continued fleeing on foot near Avenue J.

The foot pursuit was short-lived and Avant was apprehended by pursuing officers. During a search of the vehicle, officers located several credit cards belonging to other people and a stolen driver’s license.

A passenger, Stacy Ann Delapena, 34, was arrested for fraudulent/possession identifying information of 10 items during the investigation.

Kyle Blair Doty, 23, was arrested for driving without lights during a traffic stop in the 300 block of N. Bryant Blvd.

Aaron Paul Nitsch, 30, was arrested for criminal trespass after police were dispatched to the 200 block of Twin Oakes Drive for the report of an unwanted subject.
