Officer Injured During Monday Arrest

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- The following people and their charges are from the SAPD Arrest Blotter for Monday, October 15.

Victoria Guerro Alvarado, 33, was arrested for criminal trespass, theft of property with previous conviction, and warrants for parent contributing to non-attendance after police were dispatched to the Walmart on S. Bryant Blvd. for the report of an unwanted subject and theft in progress.

Eric Ramon Benavides, 46, was arrested for criminal trespass and warrants for public intoxication after police were dispatched to Shannon Medical Center for the report of a criminal trespass.

Dorothy Ward, 43, was arrested for failure to identify fugitive from justice and two warrants after police were dispatched to the 200 block of E. 3rd Street for a welfare check on a subject inside a shed. Ward lied to Police about her identity.

Steven Curtis Welch, 30, was arrested for theft of property, evading detention, and assaulting a public servant after police were dispatched to Target for the report of a shoplifter. Welch evaded his initial detention and assaulted an officer during his apprehension. The officer sustained minor injuries.
