Austin Man Who Created the 3D Printed Gun is Wanted for Sexual Assault

 

AUSTIN, TX -- Cody Wilson, the man who created the 3D printed gun and sold the plans on the internet has been charged with sexual assault of a child and is out of the country today.

According to an affidavit filed in Travis County in Austin, the 30-year-old Wilson is wanted after a 16-year-old girl told authorities Wilson paid her $500 for sex in a downtown Austin hotel.  

The affidavit says Wilson had an account on the website SugarDaddyMeet.com with the username ‘Sanjuro.’  That’s where he met the victim. Officials say they obtained surviellance video of the pair at the hotel where Wilson had rented a room under his name.  

Austin Police Wednesday afternoon were working with authorities in Taiwan to return Wilson to Texas.  He missed an earlier scheduled flight back from Taipei according to the report

Sexual assault is a second-degree felony punishable by two to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
