District Judge Brad Goodwin Honored at Pachyderm Luncheon

SAN ANGELO, TX -- The San Angelo Pachyderm Club Wednesday honored 391st District Judge Brad Goodwin with the group’s top honor, the Tough Tusk Award.

Judge Goodwin was elected in 2016 to the 391st Judicial District which hears felony criminal cases along with civil and juvenile matters.  

Goodwin has practiced law since 1992 and has held positions including Felony Prosecutor for the El Paso County District Attorney's office and was Chief of the Juvenile and Gang Prosecution Unit for the Lubbock County Criminal District Attorney's office

Goodwin returned home to San Angelo in 2004 and practiced alongside his father, late local attorney Ron Goodwin, until his retirement. Goodwin's wife Toni is the Volunteer Coordinator for Hospice of San Angelo. They attend First United Methodist Church of San Angelo, where he has served as a member of the Board of Trustees and on Church Council.

The San Angelo Pachyderm Club is a Republican service organization which promotes Republican candidates for office.  

Goodwin was also presented with a Texas flag that flew over the Capitol Building in Austin on Sept. 11, 2018 by State Senator Charles Perry’s office.  

State Representative Drew Darby’s office also presented Goodwin and his wife with a flag that flew over the Capitol.  

Several elected officials and others talked about Judge Goodwin and his service to the community from the bench including 119th District Attorney John Best and Tom Green County Sheriff David Jones.  In attendance for the ceremony were San Angelo Police Chief Frank Carter, former San Angelo Mayor Dwain Morrison and local attorney Carlos Rodriguez.
