Concho Valley Transit Now Has a Tracking App

SAN ANGELO, TX -- There's now an app for tracking Concho Valley Transit buses.

According to a press release from the City of San Angelo, Concho Valley Transit (formally known as Thunderbird/Transa) has launched a user-friendly, real-time bus-tracking app for San Angelo, Goodfellow Air Force Base and Angelo State University riders.

The app provides riders the ability to locate and arrive at a stop on time to ride a bus on any of the eight fixed routes throughout the city. A live map shows the current location of all CVT vehicles and provides an estimated time of arrival, i.e. no more guessing and waiting. Vehicle locations are updated every few seconds, and route and vehicle icons are color-coordinated for easy identification.

The app, accessible via desktops, laptops and mobile devices, also relays important service announcements at the touch of a button. Users will also be able to set alerts and reminders to arrive at bus stops on time. The app is free in Android and Apple app stores; just search "Ride Systems" or visit cvtride.ridesystems.net. This system launched Sept. 10.

CVT partnered with Ride Systems on the app. For more information on transportation services, visit cvtd.org or call 325-947-8729 to speak to a customer service representative.
