SAN ANGELO, TX — A San Angelo teen was arrested for Class A Misdemeanor Deadly Conduct after he crashed his Ford Truck through a residence in Bluffs subdivision late last night.
According to an SAPD press release, Just before midnight, San Angelo Police were dispatched to the HEB located at 5502 Sherwood Way for the report of a reckless driver. The vehicle, described as a white pickup truck, was reportedly doing donuts in the parking lot and narrowly missed colliding with the gas pumps before it fled north on Highway 2288.
Minutes later, Police were dispatched to a residence in the 1000 block of Hunters Glen Road for a possible structure fire. Upon arrival Police located a white 2010 Ford Truck that had driven through the home’s corner bedroom. Although the home was occupied at the time of the collision, no one was in the room that sustained damage and what initially appeared to be smoke was determined to be dust and debris caused from the collision.
A witness that was walking a dog in the area told Police the truck was traveling at a high rate of speed just prior to the collision.
The suspect, identified as Nicholas S. Garza, was located at the scene and transported to the Tom Green County Jail following the field investigation.
Preliminary damage was estimated to be upwards of $50,000.
