Capital Murder Defendant Losoya Wants Narcotics Information

SAN ANGELO, TX -- Elisa Losoya's attorney filed a motion Thursday requesting the District Attorney's office provide any and all information about narcotics investigations involving her codefendants and the victim's son.

Frank Brown and District Attorney Allison Palmer agreed to request that information from the San Angelo Police Department, the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office and the local Department of Public Safety Office.

Losoya is accused of being involved in the murder of 69-year-old William Valdez Sr. in his residence on Sellers St on Aug. 31, 2015

Losoya along with codefendants Jonathan Marin, Fernando Lavaris and Eric Martinez on August 31, 2015 are accused of breaking into Valdez’s house and shooting him during an attempted robbery.

Valdez was shot under his left arm and was transported to Shannon Medical Center where later died from his injuries.

Losoya’s jury trial was originally set for January 2017 but has been postponed until 2019 because she was appointed a new attorney.

Losoya is charged with capital murder by terroristic threat.

District Judge Barbara Walther told the attorneys she will set another pretrial hearing for late October.

Losoya remains in the Tom Green County Jail in lieu of $500,000 bond.
