Red Ford Allegedly Runs Red Light, Gets Struck by Big Rig

SAN ANGELO, TX-- Traffic at the intersection of N. Bryant and 19th Street was slowed Friday afternoon due to a wreck involving an 18-wheeler and a pickup truck.

Police say the 18-wheeler was northbound on Bryant in the second lane when a red Ford F-150 entered the intersection on 19th Street, where the two vehicles collided.

The impact of the crash sent the Ford into a pole on the sidewalk.

The driver of the Ford was the lone occupant injured and was transported to Shannon Hospital by ambulance.

Witness statements say the light for the Ford was red, but officers are still conducting their investigation and will issue citations after completion of their investigation.
