Hot Concrete Helps SAPD Arrest Man with Outstanding Warrant

 

SAN ANGELO, TX-- Officers with the San Angelo Police Department were able to arrest a man with an outstanding warrant following a brief struggle, according to the PD’s Facebook page.

Jonathan Mitcham was wanted for a charge of possession of a controlled substance.

When officers made contact with Mitcham, the suspect resisted the arrest initially and officers struggled to contain the suspect.

The struggle ended when an officer and Mitcham landed on a sidewalk and Mitcham’s back was on “extremely hot concrete,” as SAPD’s post said.

Mitcham was found to be in possession of methamphetamine at the time of the arrest.

Mitcham was arrested on a charge possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 and resisting arrest/transport.
