Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Crash on College Hills

SAN ANGELO, TX — An elderly motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash just after 10:00 a.m. Friday at the five-way intersection at College Hills and Beauregard.

Officer Brian Bylsma, with the San Angelo Police Department, arrived at the 1800 block of S. College Hills to find it was a single vehicle accident involving a 2008 Yamaha Star motorcycle.

“The driver of the motorcycle was southbound on College Hills attempting to take a right on Beauregard. The driver turned wide and collided with the curb,” said Bylsma.

The driver was transported to the hospital with a serious injury on his left leg. The medics who responded were seen putting a tourniquet on the motorcyclist's leg.

Officer Bylsma said the driver will be cited for failure to control speed.
