SAPD Stops Check Forgery at Pronto Check Cashing

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — San Angelo Police arrested a man Thursday at the Pronto Check Cashing on S. Bryant for attempting to pass a check reported stolen.

According to detective Josh Schultz, a man was attempting to cash a $300 check at the location that had been reported stolen. Detective Schultz stated "that he had more to follow up on" in the investigation.

The man is assumed to be John Bell, 29. Bell was booked in Tom Green County jail at 12:28 p.m. for the charge of forgery financial instrument.

There is no bond posted at this time.
