SAN ANGELO, TX -- San Angelo Police Department officers arrested two people for drug possession and outstanding warrants at the America’s Best Value Inn on S. Bryant at Ave. L Wednesday morning.
SAPD Public Information Officer Tracy Gonzalez said officers were dispatched to the hotel room for a welfare concern. When officers arrived, the found a man and a woman in the room.
Officers found that both individuals had outstanding warrants. According to Officer Gonzalez, 23-year-old Tyler Nelson had an outstanding warrant from Lubbock and 30-year-old Sara Beckwith had two outstanding city warrants and was wanted by Child Protective Services.
When officers arrived at the room there was a quantity of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in plain sight in the room.
Officer Gonzalez says both Nelson and Beckwith were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.
The person that police were dispatched for the welfare concern was not in the room.
