Four Teens Arrested in Connection to Shooting South of Abilene

 

ABILENE, TX — Four Abilene teens have been arrested in connection to a shooting of a 17-year-old on Hwy 83/84, just south of Abilene.

The four were arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon; Owen Daniel Heath, 18, Eli Anton Robles, 17, Michael Dillard Giddings, 17, and a 15-year-old female.

According to the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office, additional charges “may be pending” as the investigation goes further.

Bonds have been set at $50,000 for Heath, Robles, and Giddings, according to KTXS.

The victim is reportedly a student from Jim Ned CISD. His current condition is unknown at this time.

The teen was shot just before 8:30 p.m. after an incident that started a verbal altercation in Abilene, the sheriff’s office said.

The investigation is ongoing and more information will be reported as we receive it.
