U.S. Border Patrol Agents Apprehend an Illegal Alien with Arrest Warrant

 

DEL RIO, TX – U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Comstock Station arrested a Mexican Citizen wanted in Texas. He was wanted in Hays County for sexual assault of a child.

On March 26, agents arrested 21-year-old Mexican national, for entering the United States illegally. He was transported to the Comstock Border Patrol Station, for processing, where agents learned there was a warrant for his arrest for alleged sexual assault of a child in Hays County. Records checks also revealed the subject had been arrested multiple times for state and immigration violations. 

“The men and women of the Del Rio Sector are always vigilant. They face danger with great courage and resolve,” said Del Rio Sector Chief Patrol Agent Felix Chavez. “In this case, a dangerous person was kept from threatening our communities.” 

The subject faces prosecution for illegal entry into the United States – 8 USC § 1325 which carries a maximum penalty of six months. Following adjudication for immigration violation, he will be extradited to Hays County to face charges there.
