Man Faces Drug, Weapons Charges after Morning Street Crimes Division Raid

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — (SAPD Press Release) This morning, Investigators with the Department’s Street Crimes Division and S.W.A.T. Team members executed an Evidentiary Search Warrant at a residence in the 1200 block of Spaulding Street. 

The warrant, issued by Judge Jay Weatherby, named 30-year-old Christopher Espinosa to be in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine and firearms at the residence.   

Investigators located Espinosa and a female companion at a secondary location prior to the search and they were detained without incident. 

Pursuant to the search, Investigators located and seized a quantity of suspected Methamphetamine, distribution paraphernalia, five (5) firearms (one of which was altered), body armor, and a quantity of Marijuana. 

Espinosa was arrested and charged with Second Degree Felony Manufacture Delivery of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, Unlawful Possession Metal or Body Armor by Felon, and Unlawful Possession Firearm by Felon. 

The Department’s S.W.A.T. Team, Patrol Division, Street Crimes Division, K9 Unit, and Center for Tactical Medicine assisted with this morning’s operation.
