SAN ANGELO, TX--(SAPD) The two brothers who were reported missing from San Angelo earlier this week were located safe in Bell County, Texas yesterday.
Isaac Washington, 6 and Isaiah Brooks, 10, were supposed to be in the in the care of a family member during their mother’s incarceration relating to a March 11, 2018 shooting investigation. When the boys went missing, San Angelo Police and Child Protective Services feared the boys were taken by their stepfather, Jedidiah Watson, who is also facing assault charges in connection to the March shooting.
On March 26, the Department issued a Nixle Missing Children/Welfare Concern Alert for the brothers in addition to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children alerts. Following the alert, one child’s biological father learned the brothers were with Jedidiah Watson in Bell County Texas. The father safely retrieved the brothers and brought them back to San Angelo where they met with Child Protective Services and investigators with the Department’s Crimes Against Children Unit.
Jedidiah Watson remains at large with an active warrant for Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon. Watson has ties to Texas, Georgia, Louisiana, Florida, and Maryland.
