KILLEEN, TX-- The Central Bobcats completed the season sweep of the Killeen Ellison Eagles with a 6-3 win where the Bobcats tallied nine hits.
The Bobcats allowed the Eagles to take a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Central would score three unanswered runs in the third and fourth innings to take a 3-2 lead.
Nixon Brannan notched a three-bagger that drove Rance Rosas home for the only run in the third inning to halve Ellison's lead.
Oscar Nino would score before an RBI double by Blake Mikeska brought Eric Rios home to make it 3-2 Central in the fourth inning.
Ellison would tie the game at three in the fifth inning.
Rosas would drive home two runs in the sixth inning for Central to take a 5-3 lead. Kobe Taborsky added an insurance run for the Bobcats on an RBI single in the seventh inning to make it 6-3 for Central.
Trey Neslage got the win in his complete game effort where he allowed three runs on eight hits with nine strikeouts.
Blake Mikeska, Rance Rosas, Nixon Brannan and Oscar Nino each finished with two hits apiece. Rosas led the way as the only Bobcat with multiple RBIs.
The Bobcats (8-14, 3-1) will travel to Belton for a District 8-6A matchup Tuesday, March 27 at 4:30 p.m.
