LUBBOCK, TX-- The Lake View Chiefs manage just three hits in a 7-0 district loss to Lubbock Monterey on Tuesday.
The Plainsmen out hit the Chiefs 10-3 while the Chiefs also committed three errors in the loss.
Lake View's Noah Arambula did well through the first three innings by limiting the Plainsmen to three runs and keeping Lake View in the game.
The Chiefs, however, could not get their bats going and struck out seven times in the game.
Daylon Saenz, Conner Robinson and Jaden Haynes each tallied hits in the loss.
Arambula went five innings for the Chief's cause, allowing seven runs on 10 hits with one strikeout. Haynes came on in the sixth inning for Arambula and threw a hitless frame where he allowed just a walk to the Plainsmen.
The Chiefs (5-13-1, 1-3) will host Lubbock Cooper (13-7-1, 1-3) on Friday at 7 p.m. looking to break the three-way tie for fourth place in District 4-5A.
