SAN ANGELO, TX -- The Christoval Volunteer Fire Department is reporting a controlled burn South of San Angelo is causing large amounts of smoke in the San Angelo area.
Reporters on Loop 306 east of San Angelo say the smoke is visible there and there have been reports of smoke in downtown San Angelo.
The Christoval VFD reports a controlled burn today 14 miles down Door Key Road near Susan Peak is responsible for smoke in the area.
There was a wildfire near Millersview in Concho County overnight which was being handled by the Eden Volunteer Fire Department.
