Two Inmates Escape From Big Spring Federal Prison Camp

 

BIG SPRING, TX — Law enforcement is searching for two Hispanic males who escaped from the Federal Correctional Institution Satellite Prison Camp in Big Spring on Sunday afternoon.

Gustavo Adolfo Leon, 33, has brown hair, brown eyes, is about 5’ 11” and weighs about 192 pounds. He was charged in Florida for Conspiracy to Possess with the Intent to Distribute Marijuana. He was given a 210-month sentence.

Hector Hernan Lerma, 43, has black hair, brown eyes, is about 6’ and weighs 250 pounds. He was sentenced in Texas for conspiracy to import Marijuana.

There are no fences around the Prison Camp in Big Spring.  

The U.S. Marshals Service and other law enforcement agencies have been notified, according to Midland Reporter-Telegram.  

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the two suspects should call the U.S. Marshals Service at (325)627-2147.

The prison is minimum security. The prison houses 250 male inmates. It is a felony to leave the prison camp.

So you’re saying it takes a felony to get into a non gated prison but it also takes a felony to get out of same said prison. Makes sense....
