Fugitive Evades Arrest By Running Up O.C. Fisher Dam

SAN ANGELO, TX -- The passenger in a vehicle stopped by Tom Green County Sheriff’s Deputy Kenneth Pruett on Feb. 9 evaded arrest by running up the O.C. Fisher Dam.

According to Pruett’s offense report the deputy stopped a vehicle near the intersection of FM 2105 and U.S. 87 North.  The vehicle was driven by Austin Winfree who had a Louisiana ID card but no driver’s license.  One of the passengers, 27-year-old Dray Pendleton had warrants for his arrest according to the report.

When Pruett attempted to detain Pendleton, he ran away from the deputy across U.S. 87 and up the dam.  Pruett detained the vehicle’s occupants and called for backup.  The other passengers were identified as Michelle Byers and Paige Kronfeldt.

Kronfeldt admitted to Pruett that she had a meth pipe and a marijuana pipe in her backpack.  She was arrested and transported to the Tom Green County Jail.  Winfree was cited for no driver’s license and failure to maintain financial responsibility.

The other deputies who arrived to search for Pendleton were unsuccessful.  Pendleton is now Tom Green County’s most wanted fugitive.  He is wanted for evading arrest or detention in addition to bail jumping, burglary of a building and failure to appear in court.

Dray Pendleton is described as a white male, 6 feet tall weighing approximately 160 lbs with brown hair and numerous tattoos.  Anyone with information on Pendleton can call the Sheriff’s office at 325-655-8111.
