Early Voting for the March 6 Primary Election Begins Today

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — (Press Release) Early voting for the March 6th primary election began today and will continue through March 2nd.  Hours are:

  • Feb. 20th- 23rd              8 am to 5 pm
  • Feb. 24th                       7 am to 7 pm
  • Feb. 25th                       12:30 pm to 5:30 pm
  • Feb. 26 to Mar. 2         7 am to 7 pm 

The deadline to apply for a ballot by mail is Feb 23.  The application must be received by this date and may not be hand-delivered now that early voting has begun.  Additionally, in the last legislative session, any emailed or faxed application requires that the original application is mailed to the office within 4 business days.  A faxed or emailed application will qualify the voter as far as complying with the deadline to submit the application provided the original is received within 4 business days. 

The first election for 2018 is a primary election which requires voters to choose a party affiliation, therefore, any voter that is applying for a ballot by mail must be sure to indicate their preference on the application.

Voters will not have enough time to have a blank application mailed to them and returned via mail at this time but the form is available on the Tom Green County election website; www.votetomgreencounty.org.  Sample ballots and voting hours and locations are available on the webpage also.
