Street Crime Division Seized Drugs Yesterday After Two Investigations

 

SAN ANGELO, TX. -- On January 31, 2018, the San Angelo Police Department’s Street Crimes Division, K9 Unit, and Texas Department of Public Safety’s Criminal Investigations Division executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1500 block of Loop Drive.

The warrant, issued by Justice of the Peace Susan Werner, named Kendell M. Stasey, 19, to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana at the residence.  

During the search, Detectives located and seized approximately three hundred (300) grams of Tetrahydrocannabinols candy, approximately twelve (12) grams of suspected powdered MDMA, a small amount of Marijuana, and an assortment of narcotics distribution paraphernalia. 

Subsequent to the investigation and search, Detectives arrested and charged K. Stasey with two counts of Manufacture Delivery of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2 OR 2-A >=4G<400G and Possession of Marijuana <2oz. 

Two others were also arrested and charged — Jay D. Stasey, 23, was charged with Manufacture Delivery of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2 OR 2-A=4G-<400G and Possession of Marijuana <2oz, and Kerri Jordan, 19, was charged with two counts of Manufacture Delivery of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2 OR 2-A >=4G<400G, Possession of Marijuana <2oz, and a warrant for Possession of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1A <20AU (LSD).  

In a separate investigation, SAPD Crimes Against Children Detectives and Street Crimes Division Detectives became aware of children exposed to drugs at a residence in the 1400 block of Culberson.  During the field investigation, Detectives located and seized a quantity of marijuana, Tetrahydrocannabinols oil, and an assortment of narcotics distribution paraphernalia. 

Subsequent to the investigation, Destiny R. Torres, 26, and Robert P. Leaptrot, 29, were arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana >4OZ<=5LBS and Possession of Controlled Substance Penalty Group PG 2 < 1G.

The Department’s Patrol Division assisted with both investigations.
