SAN ANGELO, TX -- Forecasters say patchy ice will remain on roadways this New Year’s Day and temperatures stay well below freezing with wind chills near zero.
According to the National Weather Service, Patchy light sleet or snow is possible this morning, along and south of a line extending from Ozona to Junction. Little if any accumulation is expected. However, a few slick spots on area roadways are possible as temperatures remain below freezing.
A wind chill advisory remains in effect until noon CST for the northern Concho Valley and Heartland. Expect dangerous wind chill values from zero to five below zero across the advisory area.
Wind chill values in the single digits can be expected on Tuesday morning especially across the Concho Valley and Big Country.
Temperatures will not get above freezing until Wednesday.
